First Fall Cool Down Coming | Weather
We really haven't had that much of a summer when you really think about it. There have only been 12 days where were above 90 degrees when we usually see over 40!! We have had a massively wet summer as well with almost 20 inches of rain falling in June, July, and August. As we head into fall we will now start to see the cool downs coming, the first one comes this weekend!!
The warm and sunny weather we have had the last 2 weeks will start to go back to the pattern we were at for a while during the summer. The biggest difference with this next system is that the humidity will be low so when this cold front moves through the rain chances will be slim. On the other hand we will see some of the coldest air of the year head right into N Georgia this weekend. Look below at the GFS model and you will see that we will be seeing a lot of 50's come into the region Saturday and Sunday morning. The way it looks now is that we will see temps fall into the 50's and lower 60's across all of N Georgia for morning lows on Saturday and Sunday and see highs in the lower 80's for a few days as well. It will be some of the nicest air we have seen so far this year!
