Humberto Could Make History Tomorrow Morning | Weather
Humberto continues to stay a tropical storm and with the latest satellite data and model data, it actually looks like it is getting torn apart off the coast of Africa! I still think that Humberto will remain under hurricane strength all the way through the magic time tomorrow of 8am! If this happens, this will make Humberto a very historic storm!
The reason it could possibly be so historic is that there has never been a hurricane season during the satellite era that has gone past September 11th without a hurricane. The latest we have ever seen a tropical system become a hurricane was Gustav at 8am on September 11th 2002. I think we are going to break this record easily, as a matter of fact I think we might go even farther that mid / late Sept without a named storm....
Think about it.... We have had a very cool and wet summer... It is possibly the slowest tornado season on record.. What does this mean for our fall and winter?? Well, I will have my fall outlook at the end of this week and I think you are going to like it!
As for how Humberto will affect N Georgia.... At this point in time I think Humberto will stay in the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean and give us no affects at all. I will continue to monitor it and keep you posted.
