Latest Probability Map and What it Means for Us | Weather
Title (Max 100 Characters)
This the latest probability map from the HPC for areas receiving more than 0.01 inch of freezing rain. Notice that there a distinct bulls eye in the state in the NE section, this means that there is a very high likely hood of NE Georgia seeing accumulating ice tomorrow morning NE of Cumming to Gainesville.
The rest of the metro area is in the 50% or greater chance of seeing freezing rain accumulating to greater than 0.01 inch. It does not take much to cause travel problems when even the smallest amount of freezing rain occurs.
Bottom line is that there will be some areas that have some slick spots, some areas that will not in the morning. But NE Georgia will possibly see at least 0.10 inch of freezing rain..... I'll keep you updated.
On a scale of 1-10 I am giving this a 5 at this point in time for Atlanta. I am giving this a 6-6 for the NE.....
