What Causes Lenticular Clouds | Weather
Title (Max 100 Characters)
The image above is remarkable! The process that goes into lenticular clouds is pretty simple actually. Air from the ground blows into a mountain and rises up the face. As this occurs the air cools and condenses and forms clouds at the top of the mountain peak. Since the air is now cooler, it sinks and the clouds dissipate leaving behind a very large disk in the air! Below is another great example of a lenticular cloud and an illustration of how it happens. Cool huh?
