Rain Coming, Then Very Cold Temps! | Weather

The image you are looking at above is a temperature anomaly, in other words it is a snapshot of the difference in temps from the norm tomorrow afternoon. Our normal high tomorrow afternoon is 52, so with 10 degrees below the norm we are going to be cold! This is air that is being modified from all the cold air that is in the Midwest! In other words as that cold air goes over the snow and ice in the Midwest it actually gets a bit colder!!

Rain Tonight

We have rain moving in as we speak out west in Alabama. It is very similar to the rain we had on Christmas day. We are expecting rain tonight with no chance for severe weather. That has been the case as of late, just too much cool air around here to get anything severe. The rain will start later this evening and last through the early morning hours and could give us around 1/2 inch!

Snow Flurries Up North

Yes, there is a chance of seeing some snow flurries in the mountains tomorrow late morning / early afternoon as some moisture gets kicked around the upper low. There will no accumulation at all and if some does come down it will just flurries.
