Severe Threat Overnight is Up | Weather

A major severe weather event is taking place in parts of LA and TX this morning and the threat will shift eastward through the the day today, eventually making it into parts of N Georgia by tomorrow morning. As of right now the main threat overnight into the morning hours will be damaging winds, but I can't rule out an isolated tornado, especially in the far western sections of the state. 

 The latest SPC outlook has N Georgia in the slight risk area since right now we are somewhat "wedged"... But that wedge is forecasted to relax a bit overnight allowing for some warmer air to move in ahead of the line. That would allow storms to maintain some of their intensity as the move into the western sections of the state. We will know more later as we go throughout the day but we will definitely be keeping you updated.

On a scale of 1-10 I give this event a 3 or a low 4 for N Georgia.
