Atlanta Weather | White Christmas | Weather
We are a week away from the Big Day, and everyone wants to know if this will be the year that we receive that rare southern white Christmas. Well the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) has the answer. This year the Center updated a map that shows the climatological probabilities of a white Christmas across the Nation.
The map is based on the most recent climate “normals” observed on December 25th. You will notice the highest probabilities are in the northern and mountainous areas of the country. Conditions will vary from the probabilities for the northern states, but it likely we will not see a white Christmas this year!
If you would like to keep track of the snowfall across the United States on a daily basis, see NCDC's U.S. Daily Snowfall map.
