Rain On The Way | Weather
We did not break the record high today. We officially made it up to 74°F as forecasted, but the record was 76°, so we were 2 degrees shy of the record, and it was due to the cloud cover that came in ahead of the front. That front will be sliding in tomorrow, and the cloud cover from it will help keep our overnight low temperatures on the mild side in the mid 50s. Scattered showers will begin later tonight, and become more widespread during the overnight hours.
Tomorrow looks to have a soggy morning commute. The showers will be widespread during the morning, and then lighten up as we get closer to the evening. High temperatures will be cooler in the mid 60s. Total rainfall amounts are expected to be highest in north Georgia around a half of an inch of rain.
Temperatures will continue to cool for the remainder of the week as the cloud cover is stubborn and won’t leave. Highs for Thursday and Friday will remain in the upper 50s. Things do warm back up for the weekend into the mid 60s.
