Giant Dust Plume Moves in from the Plains

A giant dust plume from the northern plains is moving into NW Georgia as we speak. From the satellite pic below you can see that yesterday the dust from the plains was really kicking up as winds up there were gusting to around 45 and 50mph!! The plume is a result of the drought in the plains and the winds that are howling! As those winds kick up the dust it picks it up and starts to transport it. Also, the winds around 1000ft, as you can see down below, have been howling across most of Alabama and NW Georgia this afternoon and has transported the dust into this part of the country! You can see below that the plume of dust is right in the same area as the intense winds at 1000 ft and that is all brought down to the surface! The good news is that the winds will start to die off over the next few hours!
