Storms Getting Stronger, Another Big Cool Down Coming??? | Weather

Rain Trying to Move In Again

There are several storm to the NW that are trying to move down into the metro area. The RPM model actually has them weakening once the sun goes down, so our chance for any further rain today is around 20% in the metro area, but around 40% to the NW. Most of these showers will weaken as the get close to the metro area. 

Fall is Arriving!

Fall has started pushing into the state this afternoon as some lower 70's and upper 60's move into the N Georgia mountains this afternoon!! Even with the sunshine, temps to our north in TN are struggling to make it into the 70's with mid 60's ruling the roost in most of N TN this afternoon. That air is going to filter into the N Georgia area over the next 24 hours and send us into the nicest weather we have seen since last April!! Highs over the next few days will be in the mid to upper 70's with nothing but sunshine!

More Cold Air?

The GFS and the Euro have been backing off from the second major cool down that is set for the latter half of the weekend. Now it is still going to get cooler than normal, but temps will only be cooling down into the lower 80's for highs. The major difference will be in the mornings where temps are forecasted to be in the 50's!!
