Fall Colors Forecast for N Georgia | Weather

With a cool down in the forecast a lot of us are wondering when are the fall colors going to start arriving in N Georgia. Lets face it , last year stunk in terms of fall colors. I have a very good feeling that this year will be a great season for fall colors! Here is what we typically see in a normal year:

• In the mountains typically mid to late October is a good time to plan a trip up to Brasstown Bald and the surrounding mountains for colors!
• For the remainder of N Georgia the last week of October and the first week of November are prime times for great colors viewing.

This year fall is forecasted to come in strong next week with temps forecasted to go well below the normal, we might be in store for a bit of an early season this year if my gut and observations on this changing pattern are right.
