International Space Station Captures Rare Sprite Lightning!!! | Weather

Remember a few months ago I talked about a rare phenomenon called "Sprites"? If you don't remember go check out the full blog here:

Basically when you see a lightning bolt that is heading towards the ground, the t-storm is also releasing an electrical lcharge that goes way jup into the upper levels of the atmosphere. No one know what exactly causes these sprites to look the way they do, but they are pretty amazing looking!! These images come to us courtesy of NASA.gov
