Severe Weather Discussion

The chance for more severe weather this afternoon is developing again as of around 3 p.m. We have a very humid airmass in place with plenty of instability. Storms are already firing to the north in Cherokee and Bartow this afternoon as heavy rain and small hail is possible with these storms. Motion on the storms will be very slow to the north at around 15 mph.

As we progress into the afternoon, we should see more develop that will be capable of producing damaging winds, isolated small hail, and very heavy rain. Flash flooding is also a threat as we get into the late evening hours, especially where the ground has already been saturated by the heavy rain we have had the last few days.
