Severe T-Storm Watch NE Georgia | Weather

There is a severe t-storm watch in effect for 2 counties in N Georgia until 10pm tonight. The counties are Rabun and Habersham and those are the only 2 counties that have a risk of seeing severe weather this afternoon and evening. Right now a disturbance at the upper levels is moving across that part of the state towards N Carolina. The upper disturbance combined with the instability at the surface will pop a few t-storms in that part of the state that will be capable of producing haill one inch and greater with wind gusts up to 70mph. For the metro we might see a few storms later this afternoon on the strong side, but the threat for severe is very low.
