News

ATLANTA (WXIA) --The tornado watch has been canceled for all of the 11Alive viewing area.  The only counties still in the watch are from Macon southward.  The main threat in metro Atlanta and north Georgia is for rain and the possibility of some localized flooding.  The weather system is expected to drop one to two inches of rain across Georgia.  But, the chances for severe weather are considered slight.

Areas to the north of the watch area, including Metro Atlanta, are not out of the woods in terms of heavy rain, and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect for most of Metro Atlanta. Meanwhile, the National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Dade County in the northwest corner of Georgia until 11:15 p.m. Thursday.
