BILOELA, QUEENSLAND, Australia -- A toddler and two women were pulled to safety from rising floodwater in a bag attached to a helicopter in the Australian state of Queensland over the weekend.
A storm that dumped torrential rains along a roadway near the rural town of Biloela, about 300 miles northwest of Brisbane, caused a flash flood that stranded the toddler and the two women.
The women first zipped the toddler into a tote bag, which was raised to the waiting helicopter, then the two women were hauled to safety.
The rescue was caught on tape.
All three people were reported to be okay, according to the Brisbane Times newspaper.
Australia has seen its share of wild weather this season, with record-setting heat and wildfires, to torrential rains.
