Rain Amounts not too Impressive | News
We got a little bit of rain last night. And I mean only a "little bit of rain." Our rainfall amounts weren't impressive at all. We just had a few light showers that moved across north Georgia and metro Atlanta late last night. The rain was gone by early Sunday morning. Here's a look at some of the totals:
The clouds stuck with us for a little while this morning, then we had a few holes in the clouds that let the sun shine through. We continued to see more clearing late afternoon into the evening. Now, as the clouds continue to move out, we will see the temperatures drop pretty quickly. Our lows by morning will be right at freezing in Atlanta. It will be even cooler in the suburbs with many areas waking up in the 20s.
I think you will like the sunshine on Monday. We will have a good coverage of sun during the day. By Tuesday, the sun will mix in with a few more clouds. It gets a little tricky with the rain forecast for the middle and end of the week. Earlier, the rain chances were looking pretty good. Now it looks as if the rain chances are going down a little and the rain amounts expected are going down, too. A few showers will begin to develop later on Wednesday. We will have off and on showers Thursday. Then showers taper off during the day Friday.
Temps will be warm as the moisture moves in. We will see our highs get back to the 60s. Even some mid to upper 60s Thursday through Sunday.
