Frost Advisory Again Tonight | News
We made it up to 60 degrees Saturday afternoon. The temperatures are cooling down during the evening and will continue to drop overnight. We will hit 40 degrees by morning in Atlanta. Most folks outside of the city will make it into the 30s. The wind that we had today is beginning to die down. With mostly clear skies and a lack of wind, there will be some frost developing in spots. The areas most likely to see some frost develop will be around Atlanta, to the north of Atlanta and to the west and southwest of Atlanta.
I don't expect it to be a widespread frost. I think there will be enough of a breeze to inhibit at least some of the frost development. This isn't our first frost. If the first one didn't already zap your plants, additional ones will. You have a little time tonight to either bring in your plants that you want to save, or protect them again tonight with additional mulch to keep the frost off.
We will have a few more clouds that will mix in with the sun Sunday. Even more clouds Monday and Tuesday will give us just a 20% chance of a shower late Monday into early Tuesday. Most areas will stay dry. We will warm up a little just in time for Thanksgiving Day. We expect a high Thursday of 65 with mostly sunny skies.,
