A few more clouds today-Showers tomorrow | News
It will be another nice day for your Veterans Day! We start off with a good bit of sunshine, but clouds will gradually increase during the day. A wind from the south and east will pick up a little Atlantic moisture and begin to spread that into north Georgia during the day. We will still have a lot of sunshine, but it will ocassionally filter through some of those clouds that are moving in.
We are also watching a line of showers and storms to our west. That line will move into Georgia on Monday. There is potential for severe weather today in Texas, Arkansas and northern Louisiana. That line will weaken as it moves east. Wwe don't have to worry about a severe weather threat here. We will have a good coverage of clouds early Monday, then the showers will begin to move into northwest Georgia around lunchtime, then continue moving east into metro Atlanta during the late afternoon hours. The showers will be with us through the evening and will then push east overnight moving out of the state. The roads could still be wet Tuesday morning for your drive in to work, but the rain will be gone. After the rain moves out, the temperatures will cool down again. We will have highs in the low 60s and upper 50s for the middle and end of the week with morning lows in the low 40s.
