Atlanta Weather | Noreaster Update | News
The wave that is moving through our area this morning, bringing the rain is a part of the same system that will that will head toward our neighbors in the northeast. This system will produce heavy rain, gusty winds and high surf.
Today’s model guidance shows the Low being nudged more out to sea than previously forecast which would lessen the blow for the Northeastern States. On this path the heaviest rain would stay off shore, however with cold air wedged in, there will be accumulating snow for Maryland and North to Maine. Winds will be gusty, but not as strong on this latest track.
Either way, it will be a headache for folks in New York and New Jersey trying to clean up from the mess leftover by Superstorm Sandy.
