Tough day at work! I had the opportunity to do the weather live at East Lake for the PGA Tour Championship. It was great to soak in the beauty of that course and soak in the nice weather. I have to admit, I was a little star struck at one point. After I did my live shot at 6pm, I was waiting to do my shot for 7pm. I noticed a golfer getting into his car. It was none other than Tiger Woods. I felt like the papparazi getting a picture of him. Scroll down to see it. Tiger is the one in the white hat. I know it's hard to see, but it's the best I could do! I got Fred's attention to tell him that Tiger wasn't too far from us. Fred, took it all in stride. He's used to seeing these sports stars. But I thought it was pretty cool.
East Lake will get some national attention this weekend since the tournament will be on NBC and 11Alive. Viewers all around the country will get a good look at nice Atlanta weather. There is just one little potential issue for Saturday afternoon. There is a cold front moving in Saturday. It looks like it will be a dry front. There is an outside chance that a few rain drops will fall out of some clouds as the front moves through. The chances are very low. Just expect to see a few clouds Saturday afternoon. They will clear out Saturday night. After the front passes, the cooler air will move in. Fall officially arrives Saturday at 10:49am with the Autumnal Equinox. Even though we will be in the mid 80s Saturday afternoon, the first FULL day of Fall will actually feel like Fall. Sunday morning temps will be in the 50s with afternoon highs in the 70s!
