Atlanta Weather | Wet Weather Coming | News
It will be a gray soggy day on tap for North GA this afternoon. An area of low pressure will move heavy rain from Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi to Georgia by tonight. The area of low pressure along with a cold front could bring as much as one to two and a half inches of rainfall through early Wednesday.
Temperatures this afternoon will be near 80, but behind the front much more fall like weather will move in. Temps by Wednesday will be around 75 with sunny skies.
How does this rain help our drought????
Most of the rain we have had lately has been light and scattered. It’s been more than a week since we have seen wide spread significant rains. Soil remains dry and will take a lot of rain to saturate. We will see as much as 2 to 3 inches of rainfall and only minor flooding is expected.
