4pm Radar Check

There are a few showers out there this afternoon.  We have a good cloud cover with a few breaks at times to allow some sunshine to come through briefly.  At 4pm, the showers stretch from the GA/AL line near I-20 and extend northeastward to Lake Allatoona into the northeast Georgia mountains.  The individual showers are moving east while the line is pushing to the southeast.

Thunder and lightning are lacking with this rain.  It consists mainly of light to moderate showers.  There are some pockets of heavier rain embedded in the line.  There could be an ocassional flash of lightning or clap of thunder.  There is nothing severe with this system.  Temperatures this afternoon are holding in the upper 70s and low 80s.

The rain chances on Monday will go down.  There will be a 30% chance of a few scattered showers to start the week.  Temps will remain in the low to mid 80s.  We will have more drying for the middle and end of the week with temps staying just below 90, in the upper 80s.
