New Data in on Tropical systems

The Atlantic Basin is pretty active right now.  This is the time of year when things start hopping a little more.  Here's a rundown of 3 tropical systems we'll be watching:

1. Heleen-This system is dying over land in Mexico.  It was downgraded from a tropical storm to a tropical depression.  It is causing heavy rain over parts of Mexico.

2.  Hurricane Gordon-This storm is a category 2 storm in the far eastern Atlantic.  Max winds are now at 110mph.  The good news about this storm is that it is moving away from the United States.  It will continue pushing to the NE and die out.  This is the strongest storm so far this year.

3.  Tropical wave off the coast of Africa.  This storm is getting better organized. The National Hurricane Center is giving this a 60% chance that this will become a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours.  This will most likely be named "Isaac."  The spaghetti model plots below show the general direction of the storm.  As you can see, there is a wide range of possibilities right now.  The models will fine tune the path of the storm as it continues to grow.  It will be many days before this will threaten any land.
