Monitoring when T-Storms will develop | News

We will be watching radar closely over the next couple of days.  We have a 30-40% chance for some afternoon t-storms to redevelop this afternoon and evening.  They will be the "hit and miss" variety.  Some that do develop will have some thunder and lightning with them.

The chance for rain and stronger thunderstorms will be higher tomorrow.  There is a cold front that will move in from the northwest later in the day.  At this time of year, we usually don't get cold fronts that make it this far to the south.  This one will move through late Friday.  As it approaches, we will have some showers and potentially severe thunderstorms later in the day. The storm prediction center has areas north and east of Atlanta in the "slight risk" category Friday night.

Once the front passes, it will bring in lower humidity for the weekend with highs holding in the 80s!
