Saturday thunderstorm possibilities... | News
Overnight thunderstorms brought in gusty winds which blew trees down south of Atlanta overnight. The storms ended around sunrise on Saturday and skies began to clear. Scattered popcorn variety thunderstorms are expected again on Saturday afternoon and evening. The ridge of high pressure which has kept us unseasonable hot will retrograde to the west over the next five days. And upper level trough will then set up over the east this week. This change in the pattern will help our temps get back to near normal and increase our chance for thunderstorms during the PM hours.
