Below Average Temperatures for the Weekend | News
We've been talking about the slightly cooler air coming in over the weekend. Don't pull out the sweaters and jackets, though! Our temperatures will just be a little cooler that average for this time of year.
Take a look at the averages. On a typical June 16, we would have a low of 68 and a high of 87. Those are the average numbers for this date. We are forecasting a morning temp of 64. That would be 4 degrees below the average low. During the afternoon hours, we are forecasting a high of 83. That would be 4 degrees below the average of 87. Please understand, it will still be warm out there Saturday, but it's nice to experience temperatures below where we typically are at this time of year!
The humidity will also be a little lower. Dewpoints will be in the upper 50s. That's a pretty nice feel to the air that will be reflected in lower relative humidity during the afternoon. We will have a relative humidity around 40% in the afternoon hours.
We will enjoy below average temperatures again on Sunday. This is all thanks to an east wind bringing us this slightly cooler and drier air. As the east wind shifts to a more southerly flow for the beginning and middle of the week, we will feel those temperatures rising. We will make it back to the upper 80s Wednesday-Friday.
