We are watching a few clusters of showers with some thunder and lightning moving through the north metro area.  The showers have some heavy rain along with some thunder and lightning.  They remain below "severe" criteria.  A few additional showers stretch into the north Georgia mountains.

We will have a few showers scattered around metro Atlanta and north Georgia for the rest of the evening.  The rain chances will still be with us Tuesday, but they go down to 50%.  Temps will actually rise Tuesday with a little more sunshine breaking through the clouds at times.

We will return to a hot and drier pattern on Wednesday.  Highs move back to the upper 80s.
