Slow moving front continues to drift east, but remains close enough to bring a 10 to 20% chance for afternoon showers/thunderstorms. Most of the heavy rain will stay right near the front, so the summer-like pattern continues. High this afternoon will be in the low 80s.

Another threat for afternoon showers/thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon. Only a slight chance at this time. Skies are forecast to clear as we get closer to the weekend. High pressure will build in, bringing sunshine. We will have to pay close attention to the area of low pressure the sets up off the coast of Florida. For now will leave the weekend sunny and dry, with the rain in the southern parts of the state.
