Showers Develop Monday | WEATHER BLOG | News
We had a little "schedule switcheroo" last night and this morning! Chesley is sick today. Mike came in last night to relieve me for the 10pm and 11pm newscasts, so I could come back in this morning. We are hoping Chesley is feeling better today!
Waking up to mostly cloudy skies and some patchy areas of fog this morning. Temps are mild in the mid 60s.
The chance for rain is a little better today and Tuesday. We will have an east wind setting up. That will give us more clouds and cooler air. That east wind will also pick up some Atlantic moisture. We will see a few more showers developing today. The risk for severe weather will be in parts of Tennessee, north Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas. We aren't expecting widespread severe weather here today. Some of the showers will have some thunder and lightning, but not to severe criteria.
It will be a little cooler with highs in the low 80s for the first part of the week. The rain moves out by Thursday with temps holding in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
