Strong storms moving across Metro Atlanta Tuesday evening | News

Strong to severe thunderstorms are moving across parts of Metro Atlanta this afternoon and evening.

Reports of hail running anywhere from a half-inch to an inch in diameter have been reported in parts of Cherokee County, mostly to the east and northeast of Canton.

A house fire has been reported in the Woodmont Subdivision near Canton, possibly caused by a lightning strike.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of Cherokee, Dawson, Forsyth and Pickens counties, but as of 6 p.m., none of the other thunderstorms has approached severe limits.
