Rain chances going down for the weekend

Heavy rain over NW Georgia prompted a flash flood warning for southern Floyd County Thursday night. The rain has moved out, but some creeks and streams are still rising with the runoff. The showers are diminishing overnight.

We will hold on to a 30% chance for showers again on Friday. The rain chance goes down to 20% on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will move back to the low 90s.

Another system moves in next week to ramp up the rain chances again for Tuesday and Wednesday. We are also watching some cooler air that will make it to the southeast next week. Not a cold blast or anything, just temps getting back to the 80s.
