Rain chance continues Thursday
Rain chance continues Thursday

We've been tracking a few strong thunderstorms that have been moving through the area today. Most of the heavier storms were south of I-20 and over parts of east Georgia. Some of those storms had 40mph winds and dime size hail. A few isolated showers are still possible during the evening hours.

We will have another chance for showers to redevelop Thursday. These could begin in the mid morning hours but will be more likely in the afternoon and evening. Highs will hold in the upper 80s.

Some showers may linger into Friday. Most of the rain will begin to shift to the south. We will keep a 30% chance of showers in the forecast for Friday.

Slightly drier air will move in for the weekend with only a 20% chance for afternoon pop up showers.
